The Pod and Viking Barrel Pod

Fall in love with our glamping pods. Both situated in a quiet area in the main camp surrounded by native bush. Featuring a double bed & soft furnishings our Pod's are akin to a tent for those looking for easy days away. With this is mind we have provided your linen, cutlery, plates etc (a full list will be provided upon booking). Please be aware our Pod's do not have power, cooking or toilet facilities. The camp facilities are located a short distance away in the centre of the camp. Our Pod's come with two complimentary shower tokens.

The Pod per night: $90 for 1-2 adults

Viking Barrel Pod per night: $95 for 1-2 adults

Camping Sites

Grace Church Group

Set beside the clean Ashley Gorge River enjoy 12 acres of camping area and 13 acres of picnic area. You will find your own piece of paradise on generous grassy sites. Our campground is surrounded by trees and natural beauty. We get none of the cold Easterlies and enjoy our own unique climate. Be lulled to sleep by the sound of the river.  

Dog Friendly Sites

We have 4 dog friendly powered sites available. These are located next to our cabins which are just outside the campground gate on a large grassed area. Please note: Dog area is a set price whether power is used or not, dogs are only permitted in this area or the Reserve/river. Please DO NOT walk them through the campground. Dog sites are subject to availability, please email or call to confirm your booking.

Perfect guest accommodation if using the Function Centre. Self contained complex with 2 bunkhouses. (Original refurbished classrooms from Oxford School). Each bunkhouse sleeps 26 and has their own showers & toilets. Pillows and bottom sheets provided.

Dormitory Tariff - Minimum Charge $220.00 per bunk room.
Concessions for schools, youth organisations, eg Scouts, Guides etc.
Adults $22 per adult
Children (5 - 15 years) $12 per child

  • Cancellation Policy - other than Covid related (where a full refund or credit will be offered) 
    • No show = no refund. Any booking cancelled with more than 14 days notice will receive a refund of the deposit paid less $25.00 admin fee and any card charges
    • No refund will be issued for any booking cancelled within 14 days of arrival date unless unit or site can be relet for entire time for booking
    • No refund for any booking cancelled within 24 hours of arrival

Kitchen Cabins

Our three cabins are set away from the main campground and sleep 2-4 people. The cabins have private ensuites, equipped kitchenettes, bedding supplied, Smart TV's, and outdoor BBQ area. The Fantail-Pīwakawaka Suite sleeps 4 people has a wheelchair access bathroom, double bed and one set of bunks. The Wood Pigeon-Kererū Suite has two single beds and the Bellbird-Korimako Suite has one double bed. Check in is 2pm and checkout is 10am. Please Note: Pets are NOT permitted. There MUST be at least one adult that is over 18 staying in the cabin.

Prices:

Fantail-Pīwakawaka Suite: $160 per night

Bellbird-Korimako Suite: $140 per night

Wood Pigeon-Kererū Suite: $140 per night
